MadDog's "Free Part"
Greetings:
Evidently MadDog's free part offer won't pay out? Too bad, too. I need a new kidney.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Maddog would have to own a scooter first to be able to give it up.
If you ask him he will say he owns more than a few, but yet nobody has ever seen any of them.

The 750 H2 Mach IV holds the world's record for the fastest normally-aspirated 750cc production motorcycle, running the standing quarter-mile in 7.756 seconds, with a top speed of 170 mph.maddog wrote:i found my post and only wheelman got the maico question right, the kawasaki 650 known as the triples were the were the fastest 2 stroke street bikes made and atk will come out with a 750cc super street bike in july 09 which was on the speed channel last week.

Grateful Wheelman & WHAC
Greetings:
And a brilliant find the Maico article was, too.
I wonder, hmmm will that 754 2-stroke fit inside the Aero covers?
A grateful WHAC* extends its thanks to BT for offering to pass on his valuable Maddog Free Part. I'm waiting for it now. I think I'll hold my breath until it arrives.
Turning a little blue now...

Kawasaki Dreamin'
Greetings:
And by the way, there never was a 650 triple K. the 500 debuted stateside in 1970, followed by the 750. 350, 250, and 400 variations on the theme followed until (?) 1976, when the EPA caused the Big 4 to convert to the One True 4-Stroke Faith.
A stock H2 750 was a 12-second bike. Topped at something like 120. The figures quoted by Alow, if accurate, pertain to a highly modified dragster or a Bonneville Land Speed Record contender. The only way a Stock 750 would go 170MPH is if you dropped one out the back door of a C5 Transport plane, which would be a terrible shame. Spindly frames caused unpredictable handling, mediocre even in its day. Inadequate brakes, too.
Still a very desirable bike. Close to modern-day performance, sort of, and that 2-stroke aroma and glorious triple noise. Concours-quality restorations occasionally appear at the big shows, freakishly expensive nostalgia. Think of the Dios you could buy for $20K.
Keep an eye out for that new Aprilia 125 sportbike - the first street-legal new 2-stroke in a long, long time. Through the Miracle of Computerized Engine Management and small displacement, they got it clean enough to satisfy the Reguladores. Aprilia has it on their website now.

This correct, that 750 is not stock.Wheelman-111 wrote:

Just stating the fact that the fastest 750cc drag bike is a Kawi triple.
