Kei truck street legal on public road.

Some states has passed law to drive japanese kei truck on public road..

They get about 40 to 50 mpg has 3 cylinder engine.

Canada is legal to drive on highway or street..

Here in Washington you can get them licensed as a "Farm Vehicle" but this only works if you are country folk. For some reason the state won't go for you having a farm in the city.

Get yourself a REAL "Mini" Truck It is already legal for the road. The .7 liter engine gets about 75mpg

This one was done here.....it has a 26" lcd tv , BBQ grill and a Freezer too keep your beer cold, in the bed of the truck.

We use those trucks around the lake in Missouri. I don't know the laws but I was told Japan has a national law that those trucks are no longer street legal after X number of miles. So they ship the trucks here to get the best price out of them after they are used.

I don't know a thing about the laws, but saw a Suzuki up in north WA farming country for sale with WA plates. Was getting the I want it's over it... I had no camera, but it looked somewhat like the one below:

In Michigan, with enough determination, almost anything can be made street legal. The UPS guy that delivers to the store I work at just got the paperwork through and now has a registered, street legal golf cart. He got a vin number assigned and everything. He had to equip it with all the lights and other basic safety features of a car, but that's not really that long of a list.
