[Justin80](June 13) Ok let me me know when you send it out and by what carrier.

[frenchiehxc]No prob. i just moved a couple citys away from my parents so im just waitin for my bro to ship it here so i can forward it to you.

-thanks

[Justin80]
Any idea when I'll get this part? It's kinda the only thing I'm waiting on.

Thanks

(June 19)

[Justin80](June 25)
Ok it's been a week past when you said you were going to get it from your brother.
I really need that part. I paid weeks ago. Getting kind of ridiculous.

I hope he doesn't try to screw you, but like evilone said i think you have 60 days to dispute a transaction thats why most people prefer paypal other than checks or money orders plus its automatic and instant :D your Spree waiting on that bystarter to run?

Yeah sadly the Spree is sitting on my apt balcony waiting to have the carb put back on. Bought a few new parts like plug and misc gaskets. Those all arrived from various other sellers on time. Guess while I'm still waiting I could clean the fuel filter and replace the gear oil.

Dont quote me BUT if you still have the old bystarter and you know its not any good. pop the metal end of and take the needle out. fill the metal piece with silicone or something that is gas resistant and stick it in the carb and bolt the bystarter back on, in essence you are filling in that hole and it just may start without the bystarter functioning properly. I think i saw a post on here somewhere that someone stopped the hole up and was able to start their scoot, you may have to pour gas int he spark plug hole then put the plug back in etc to get it going if it hasnt been started at all yet, good luck

Funny you mention that. He said he sent me $10 cash on June 5th for a coil. I just sent it out without waiting for the cash and just realized I never got it. No big deal, but kind of un-trustworthy.

Freakin great. You know, actually the time issue is more important than the money. I need to get the scoot back on the road pronto to help reduce unneeded miles and wear and tear on my car from going to work. The $15 isn't a huge deal but quit wasting my d*** time. You know?

You can run w/o the bystarter. Its just hard starting when cold. To test my Aero, I removed the bystarter and taped over the hole. Runs fine (except for other issues). Until it gets cooler, you can probably run w/o it.

Heard something yesterday:

(June 25)

i sent it out yesterday before work from the local post office should arrive 7-10 days,

Is this a scam? Only time will tell. 7-10 days for a small part that can fit in the smallest box the PO has?

What is he sending it VIA Japan? Basic mail should be no more than 5 days and Priority should be 3 days. He is blowing smoke still. :jack:

I'd file a paypal dispute ASAP. He is an idiot and doesn't have a very good reputation here on the forum anyways.

Look elsewhere for a bystarter.

USPS small flat-rate box = $4.95 and you get it in 2-3 days. 7-10 days .
