My new project - 77' Express

Post by Spree<3 »

Just picked up this express yesterday... $25.00.

It's a bit rusty here and there... and has a few "problems" to work out...
but it's gonna be fun and it was only $25.00

Took the cover off and about 1/2 cup of water came out... but very little rust inside.
What you see here I was able to wipe off and I cant see any real damage so far.

Then I took apart the Carb... and crud all over. Was able to clean it out and get it
all clear. Will have to clean out the tank and then hook it all up again and let it roar

Very nice. You even got the air box a rare and expensive part. And very crucial to it running properly just like a Spree

Wow, nice looking scoots :-) Did you get them that way or did you have to spit shine them?

I actually got mine running good today :-) The timing is a b**** to get just right.

A build thread... hmmm... I'm just trying to get it going myself - I know very little about this thing.
But I'm planning a ground up resto... so I will try to document it ...with pics.

Stay tuned :-)

25 bucks isn't bad at all. Even if it doesn't work out, you didn't invest enough to care.
