Yesterday was 60* and sunny, so everything came out to play.

I envy your bikes, but not your weather!

I spent more than 50 years in the midwest.
Tennessee has a far longer riding season than Indy, and then with all this global warming,
even the winters here can be mild...riding occasionally keeps the spirits up.
I enjoy the happy medium...and my kids/grandkids are close-by.
If I were to choose any warmer climate to live in, SOUTHWEST is the direction I would travel.

You need to look into Maryville/Greenback/Kodak. All very pretty quiet areas, great to ride at because the dragon and skyway. Clemons dome and all the mountains. Right in October after the leaves are all gone its dead quiet, no leaf tourist and its amazing to drive/ride. You can take passes on the Dragon and see maybe 1 car the whole time. I know its not that far from The Nash house, but it makes an amazing trip to stay in a cabin in gattlinburg for a week and ride around the mountains. Its a whole nother thing from the flat interstates and land in Louisianan.

So...today we have both...weather, AND motorbikes.EastCoastCB wrote:I envy your bikes, but not your weather!
I woke up to this......and then during the day, I got a message that a bike was for sale.
That resulted in this.....It looks like I could use an exhaust shield...anybody ?

Tell me you own that little Honda... And yes I think it looks like there is a shield missing on the header pipe right where your leg goes. That is a dream bike. My buddy has the big brother to that little guy 125 I think great machines.

Re: The Daily Chat
Went and looked at a roughhouse 50 sport yesterday with a malssoi 70cc bore and ncy trans kit. Im really thinking about it but the people of the fourms over there say the crank needs to be seriously overhauled or it can easily be bent. So I dont know im gonna wait a week and see if he drops the price any... if so I may be on that soon. C:

Re: The Daily Chat
Today marks another milestone in personal moto-history.
Swoopy has been adopted by a first-time rider.
She never let me down. I can strongly recommend the Sym family of motorbikes.
Never-the-less, time came to move on, and no looking back.
Received a message from a friend in Valdosta, GA. a couple weeks ago.
Two very interesting 90cc Hondas came available from the original owner.
Both were bought new in Tokyo, and shipped to USA by an Air Force pilot in 1970.
Titles were obtained in Kansas long ago, and both bikes were subsequently re-titled in Florida when he moved there.
I made an instant decision to buy this package, and they were delivered by my friend this week.
Both are running, (have had new carburetors installed), and rideable.
The gas tanks are in horrible condition inside, ..so the first thing will be getting those cleaned and sealed.
The shift pattern on the S90 is "all gears down", with a circular pattern, so that will take some getting accustomed to using.
The Super Cub is a little better overall condition, but I have passed it along to a friend here.
Love the blue color...matches my truck
