I thought i'd share my most recent 2 wheeled acquisition... At least it's a Honda, so it kinda belongs in here somewhere ;)
Now, that looks awesome!

The entire assembly is hinged under the engine. Quite the Deluxe model with torque converter, lights, horn, 10-inch chrome wheels. Found to be a 1971.

So.. this happened today:

Image

Most of the white panels in the photo should be pink though. They are the original panels, but the sun faded the pink into white. I changed the oil, basketized it (until the pink top box comes in) set the tire pressure, and then rode it all day. The Buddy 125 user manual calls the scooter a PGO Ligero 125, and the underside of the battery cover has the PGO logo molded into it. The key also has PGO molded into it. It is light and fast and stops well. After riding a PGO Ligero 50 in Bermuda last month, I'd been watching craigslist for a Buddy 50, when this Buddy 125 bit me.. what a bad disease..

1986 Honda Rebel CMX450.
Took about 3 weeks to remove carbs, order parts, change tires, new battery, clean and reassemble carbs,
re-install carbs, replace petcock, new fuel lines, remove carbs again, clean again, re-install,
reassemble airbox & battery box,....and after all that, currently in the process of shake-down rides
and idle air adjusting. Oh yeah, added an OEM sissy bar...thinking leather bags for necessities.
So nice jumping on a 450 after limiting myself to the tiddlers for a while....

Hello All,...after 6 months of not much to share, I'm happy to announce
a move to a new house. This included buying a 10 X 16 shed for the bikes.
I have a stock image I will post, but mine is finished Honey Gold stain.
I am only one day away from moving the bed over and start sleeping there.
Living quarters are smaller, and that's a good thing.
On ground level, so less stress on the the ticker, hip, etc.
I was initially quite angry about being forced out by rising rent.
Somehow, I changed that attitude to being excited about a new page in life.
With only 15 days until True Grits, I have plenty of work ahead in order to be ready.
Got the AC charged and an oil change on the Splash (Ranger), so ready for road trip.
This winter's project bike is a Piagio MP3, 500ie...supposed to run.
If you don't know, it's one of those crazy 3-wheel scooters from the Eye-Tally-Uns
Pix to follow. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :coolcruise:

Poor couple of pix of the MP3 under rejuvenation.
Runs and rides now, brakes needing rebuilds.
