It's all a wash, I sold a bunch of computer stuff on ebay that someone gave me to cover the parts on the spree. good times.

I've got maybe $450 into my 86. I've only had to replace tires and batteries since I bought it for $350 about 5 years ago. I made an anchor to repair the oil injector cable and cleaned the carb several times now, oh and I spent $35 on stuff to coat the inside of the fuel tank with. Got some free fuel line from work and that's about it.

I don't ride mine on the street though, it's used strictly as a pit bike at the race track.

On the other side of the scale I have a Linhai four stroke my wife bought new in 2001, I've got more than $2500 in that piece of crap and it's still not running. I want another Spree or an Aero 50 or something like that.

Hmm, I'm obviously not the first owner, or even the second so I don't know.

Yep it's a split throttle cable. It will do about 37 tops, 35 with no problem.

i have a elite and i was worndering how fast do they go. i need new rings for it is only makeing 50 psi of compression. i was thinking would it be the best to go 0.25 over stock. would it make a difference in horse power. i herd that there is some thing in the trans to make it go faster is this true.
as of right now it only does 15mph intill i rebuild it

.25 or 50 wont give any more power. i have .50 and there is no difference.its so small, the difference.as for the tranny u can mess with weight sizes for the variator.

The guy I bought it from was an auto mechanic, he didn't say anything about the engine being replaced. Cool.
