Sym Wolf Classic 150 OWNER OPINIONS

Post by motormike »

Please share any information pertaining to the SYM WOLF Classic 150...
I am seriously considering the purchase of a NEW Wolf Classic in order to fill the vacancy left by my NS50F.
The NS50F became too uncomfortable for my bones after about 10-15 minutes,
and I normally want to stay aboard for a few hours when I go out to carve the twisty roads.
The obvious position difference between the two bikes is anticipated to allow longer stints aboard.

The MSF course I took 3 weeks ago had a few of these bikes brand new. I didn't get a chance to ride it but I talked to the guy who was riding one and he said he didn't like it. The bikes were brand new but throughout the course it always had problems (died often, choke was weird). He also had it wasn't very comfortable and the shifting was strange. But he was a new rider and that could affect his opinion. Just thought I'd share!

Okay bfowler, thanx...
I took mine out today for the first time and can relate to the complaint of "died often"...
but I really think that can be remedied in time.. :thumbwink:
It improved as the ride progressed.
The "comfort" level was a big PLUS however, and I say that because I was on an NS50F prior to choosing this Sym.
I see no problem staying in the saddle of the Sym for hours.
Shifting has it's funny little quirk from FIRST gear to SECOND, but that has to do with passing through the neutral gate.
Probably just have to get a FEEL for that.
Overall, first day is a WIN for me...... :urban:

Second day tallied up 100 miles,
and that noted tendancy to "die often" did not happen even once today... :thumbwink:
I tried to fit some nice Napoleon bar-end mirrors, but the clutch lever hit the left one, and the throttle tube
did not permit a very good fitment on the other side...
At least the OEM mirrors are highly effective.

Greetings:

Heed not the nay-sayers, Mike o' th' Motor. The classic Pea-Shooter Triumph muffler reincarnated looks just fine on that vintage-styled scooter.

Is the British Racing Green one yours? What other colors do they make?

Yes Wheelie, I chose the green specifically, and drove 4 hours to get one that color.
The choices are White, Red, Black, and one that is a combo of Red/White/Black.
All very smart, but I have long been a fan of BRG,
and decided that it would be a rare chance to have one of that color since it is not very common.
They actually call it Hunter Green...meh... :urban:
That muffler is pretty ugly, admittedly, but the Triumph homage was done well... :thumbwink:
I have found the Taiwan connection to parts and accessories = http://www.scooterseals.com/
