Those are fun, I have a few betas. Good bikes that can take a lot of abuse. I've never owned a small one but many trial bikes and my rr 525 enduro.

Here's my baby 525. A few very outrageous priced goodies on it.

It's a cool rare bike, as you already know they didn't import many of them. They were extremely competitive bikes in all categories. I love all mine for sure. I believe the 525 is around 75+ hp and I imagine the 49cc platform is comparably engineered. Good find!

My kx65s I built for my 9 year old nephews with the Athena racing 82cc kits are rated at 20.4hp @ 12,750 rpm with stock carb and exhaust. 660$ cylinders but insane power. They are So quick I had to buy yz80s for them because they were tamer.
With out a doubt it will be a wheel puller, check into a better crank for those higher rpms. I used hot rods cranks trued.

Greetings:

It's also possible that the P.O. raced it. Some tracks require race wiring all the sources of Precious Scooterly Fluids to keep caps from popping off and leaking all over that nice grippy asphalt. That would be consistent with a seize as well.

Case induction on the reed set up, reminds me of a Morini style over minarelli. That is one super clean super Moto, want to trade for a 01 elite with around 500$ in trans and light intake upgrades and 289 miles ill put her in a crate next week ha.
If I was you I'd keep it forever, that's a nice looking and sounding bike!
