Bicycle Tourist Stranded

I've just been sent this by a friend, He's been away cycle touring for the past year, Has visited France, Spain and Germany as well as cycled all over the UK. A couple of days ago he was making his way home when he got rear ended in a hit and run, his bike has suffered severe damage and he's stranded 256 miles away from home. Documenting most of it in a journal which he tells me has just over 1000 pages of writing and he says he has 500 pictures ready to be uploaded when he gets home. more info here - http://www.gofundme.com/jp4kaw
I wouldn't usually post stuff like this anywhere but its a genuine plea for help so im posting in a few different places.
