Aren't you headed to a tropical island tomorrow Dirty? And didn't you score an Elite for $100? Sounds pretty nice to me! I just started getting along with my boss and I've been there almost 9 years. Have fun tomorrow and forget about skeetown for a while!

Yeah whitey, life is good, but my boss is a piece. Good thing hes in Detroit and I just get earfuls over the phone. Puerto Rico! Im thinking I may have to retire soon so I can enjoy myself while im still young. Maybe ill go back to work when im like 55. 20 years of retirement while im young sounds better that 20 years after 65 or whatever it is.

Edit: I wish there was a like button here like on Facebook.

I despise my job as well..but I can't find something that pay will even half with my education level. This used to trouble me but after a few therapeutic acid shesh I realized money doesn't exist and I might not wake up tomorrow. I kept the same job but have a different outlook on it. I work like im retired.. as little as I can get away with to appease my boss and my bills. 2014 was a great year..

2014 was a very difficult year for me. 2 therapeutic sessions though. One with my guitarist and drummer in my basement with the kids and wife out of the house for the night, and the other way a two nighter with the wife and kids at a music festival! !! Whoa, glad I went light and split it into a mild 2 night session instead of 1 intense session. At 35 years old I quit smoking pot on a daily basis and drinking regularly. It was a rewarding year, but full of change.

Music is my business and I love it! Self employed is working well for me as an audio engineer. Between music and scooters life is good. For me as Iong as I am on the green side of the grass and the money is not in the negative after the bills are paid I'm a happy camper :-)

Pat, this is my other hobby.
1979 Ovation custom legend 1619
Late 90's Deering Goodtime Banjo
Fender Robert Schmidt mandolin(got for Christmas '14)

I sold my electric bass stuff(that's what I used to jam with the boys in the basement), and bought the banjo...paid a couple bills. I'm getting old, and not really into performing. i'm more of a sit at home and noodle with melodies kind of guy anyway. There were moments while jamming with those guys that totally blew my mind. I've got a PRS downstairs as well that is up for sale. That'll pay for my Yasuni from G9. :)

alas, we are left with replies... :hi:
Pretty Ovation,,,I'd buy it and I don't even play a guitar.
My "axe" has been autoharp for 25 years.
Picked up a Mountain Dulcimer, and then a Psaltery.
Music is spiritual...believe it...

I love auto harps!!! I have repaired and tuned a few in my shop over the years. Dulcimer is also a blast.

I love my job, but it was not always that way. I had a a hole boss for some time and eventually it caught up to him. I hope the same thing happens for you. I bit my tongue and did my job as well as I could, now I am the "boss" and try to remember what type of boss I did not like. I also am in the NW and the economy is very good up here. Take care.
