Hahaha someone sounds a little upset about the cubs winning. Dont worry they probably wont win next year.

On a side note this new fan I got makes white noise and blows air. My last one was choppy and didnt move air. People think im crazy for wanting it cold in here. s*** I cant wait for 40* weather. Be out riding my bike in it contempt with life. Gonna love when it snows what I will do with my bikes.

I was riding the dragon wjth a friend and his cobra svt blew up either he ran it out of oil or we dumped it somwhere it spun a bearing and seized up solid. Dip stick was bone dry.

Probably has a warped head, ruined crank, needs a bore out and decking, new rods, oil pump, cams, valves and springs, seats done, pistons, a new crank, water pump, timing, bearings. Etc etc. So we may try loking for another cobra motor used or a gt motor to swap into it to make it drive again. Anyone have any exsperiance with doing this? The car was a gt but was swapped with the svt motor, but on the 5 speed gt trans. Very quick car but now the motor is shot. What would you guys do?

Do a v10 instead. I'm not sure if can get much performance stuff for it but I've seen a triton v10 in a crown victory before, just stuffed in the engine compartment n looks awesome haha.

Well we may be able to reused the svt 4.6 block. Its a beast of a motor and if we can rebuild or swap another used motor in we will but we will looking into the v10 tritons and f150 motors.

I had an f350 w a v10 and it was a nice motor... but the valley can fill w water and kill the coil packs on the rear of the motor. Mine had a miss when I got it and it still pulled trailers fine, it was a hotrod w new coil packs tho.

I drive an 06' F150 with the 5.4l. Bought it new in 06' and now it has 160k mi. Its been a good runner with no major issues besides typical things like brakes, alternator, battery, etc...One major weak link in the chain are these coil plugs. I don't have water collecting in the valley to burn them out but at about 40k mi, one burned out. In the spirit of "preventative maintenance" I decided to replace all 8 with new Motorcraft coil plugs. Then at about 75k mi, another burned out (different cylinder this time). I replaced ONLY that one with Motorcraft.

At 100k, another burned out, different cylinder again. Notice a pattern? replaced with Accel this time for only $30. Now it has 160k mi and every once in a while a random coil will decide to burn out. Never the same cylinder, just random. I chat on f150forum.com and its an epidemic with these coils. Endless pages of the same issue.

Pretty easy to diagnose with an OBDII reader. The code tells you which cylinder had a misfire. The front 6 are easy to swap but the back 2 are a MF'r!

It might be some work, but I bet you could replace all the coils w a universal round coil. Those things last forever.
