Now I really crossed over to the Dark Side

Post by vintagegarage »

Scooter disease once again flared up, really bad this time.. not sure there is a cure. I thought that buying a couple of Metropolitans might help cure me, but drat!.. I came home with this a couple of days ago.. very cherry and about 2,500 miles on it:

Yes. HUGE! LOL. it goes almost 60 mph on the level, but it does feel heavy.. I kind of understand the purpose of a Spreedio now.. light and 60 mph might be good.

I never liked that Metro, or Ruckus type look. The Dio is nice though. I kind of like the Zuma as well. I like the handlebar setup. Thinking if I ever do buy another scoot, it would probably be a trike. That Craigslist GYRO is enticing me. But then, I can get a brand new one with a 150cc and tow hitch. Would probably sell my blue TaoTao to make room in the garage.

Notice: stay FAR, FAR away from the "Ice Bear" brand.
I tell this to people for their own good... :thumbwink:

Kevin.. It's a 2005 Yamaha Vino 125. Looks and rides like new. Very short on storage though. I made the homemade glove cubbie/basket to hold my dog biscuits, cheeseburgers and McFlurries. Other than that it is dead stock.

Eclark.. Be careful not to confuse a Gyro with a trike. Not at all similar. A gyro rides like a two wheel scooter, with a very, very, slight feeling of rear wheel steering. Once you ride a gyro, you will want one, and will come home from every ride with a grin on your face. You will want to take every corner flat out with a Gyro. Probably not so much with a trike.
