If it's from MI it might be an Iowa with swapped sidepanels.

I own both the Razz and the Spree. They are both '86 models, but my Razz goes 25 and the Spree 35.

Did you make any mods to your spree to get it to 35? I am wanting this for mine big time, 30mph around here can get you killed! 35-40 would be safer. For every mile per hour under the speed limit you go, people get twice as mad and pass you like crazy :)

The only thing I did to my spree was drill holes in the airbox. The previous owner, though, may have done something to it.

STOP THE SPREE ABUSE!!!! please, dont drill holes, just unclip one or two of the snaps that hold on the airbox to test. I have holes in my airbox lid and it doesnt help, i currently have tape over the holes to get the proper air intake again. I am speaking from experience you can get the same results playing with the air screw

Air box

Post by Jerry »

Thank you Jim for bringing a little sense back into the forum. Too many people try these things without first checking into what the effects are when they're completed.
I'll say again what I've said before - IF THERE WERE A MOD THAT REALLY WORKED TO SPEED UP THESE SPREES, THE SELLER WOULD BE A MILLIONAIRE.

*points to self*

I kicked my own * when I realized that the air suction brought in the fuel on a carburetor system, more air=less gas, I was just starving it for gas, and probobly doing damage too.
