Our website expired and nobody wanted to pay to keep it up. So, no more link in my signature. We still meet and run when we can, but use facebook to inform members. There's some good pix there if you're interested. I'll see about linking it to this post. Last week my body was screaming no,no,no......so I went anyway and performed the duties of track steward....this is me doing a lap to clear "foreign objects of destruction".....FOD walk to you flyboys.......... :urban:.......I'm sportin' my Bear outfit......... :bowrofl:

July 23rd, 2011......rode the Elite 80 over to the lot to see who showed....seven riders, I made eight, so I went back and loaded the gyro....couldn't resist a few laps....ran 15-20 laps in 91 degrees...that was enuff....got my fix......the gyro ran like a champ with tighter track laid out....... :urban:

Greetings:

Looks fine to me, Dawg! :)

Sinceriously, I was on a midwest road trip with my '82 V45 Sabre. I had been travelling South in the most vicious, unrelenting Westerly crosswinds I'd ever encountered. The bike was leaning to the right between 15 and 30 degrees for most of the Dakotas. I stopped for fuel in Western Nebraska and glanced down at my rear tire and saw... That.

The nearest Honda dealer was in Ogalalla, 105 miles to the East. Well, at least I had a tailwind...
I was expecting a catastrophic deflation for the entire time. I couldn't take a dump for a week, so puckered was I.

Anyhow, maybe put some duct tape around it, should be good for a few laps.

2012 has opened with an outing on March 10th...rain-plagued this weekend...some of the guys tried it between downpours,,,I left mine on the trailer...This year promises to be filled with plenty of dates, already 10 Saturdays before June, almost every weekend... :thumbwink: Saw 2 new riders out the first 2 runs...
I'm hoping to see an average of 10 every week. :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise: :coolcruise:

My poor little stock 50cc gyro is solidly holding down the title "slowest bike on the track"
I dont mind so much, but having other 50cc bikes to run against would make it more fun.
The current body of member have bikes that are 80cc's and higher, up to 125cc.
One member is riding a XR80 Honda with wheels that are 14" rear, 16" front.
The original idea was to have 50cc bikes on 10" wheels.
I'm just blowing off some steam here.
Wishing the club was better attended allowing us to assemble classes for some more level competition.

Nashville MiniMotard.org has come to a screeeetching halt a few weeks ago. Dolly Parton will be building a waterpark that has caused the sale of the parking lot we used to call "track".... :surprise:
Looking for alternate location will go slowly because I've already played this out last year in an attempt to have a back-up. No luck then. ....I'm considering restoring the Gyro to street trim just to keep it rolling.
