Maybe we can put together something in the middle sometime. Will have to do some research on where.

Thanks for the pre-ride offer Marty, that would be great!

Here's arm-chair info:
A loop around Vashon is hilly and steep in the elevation profile. Could be the bicyclists looked to pack the most hills into their ride route. Marty - do you see a better route?

Vashon's cumulative elevation gain is about 1800 ft, ride about 35 miles.

This is for contrast: A loop in 'Bear country'.

I do the ride along Hood Canal every time I go to Seattle or Bremerton, very picturesque and Twanoh State park about half way up it. Highway 106 is flat and has a 40 mph speed limit. The rest I have never scootered (have driven it in my truck though) but some of it is 50 mph speed limits even though traffic is not that heavy.

I'm way down in Salem, Oregon... you guys ever get this far down for a ride? My Spree is my only transpo till I get my 77' Express painted and registered/tags...

I've driven up to Portland on my spree - the back way  - and it's a nice - LOOOONG- ride... but any farther would be too far for me.

There's lots of good flat roads down my way :coolcruise:

I'd like to head that way to scooter Salem/Corvallis and Portland as well. There's members at the least in OR - Portland/Corvallis and the coast.

Who's up for a ride this weekend? 1pm Sat Sept 10 was what we've been planning. Vashon Island I guess, all or part?

All I have to ride is my virago 750. I won't have the ct in time. I might have to pass.
