Registration in Michigan
I went to the Michigan secretary of state with a bill of sale, and was not granted a moped registration. The bill of sale states the time, place, vin #, price, and our signatures, but I was told unless it had the registration number, I could not get registration in my name without a title. Is this a load of crap or was the lady correct? I have no idea if the moped was ever previously registered.

LOL
MY BAD!
see, when i first load the page i just open all new post in new tabs. then i just kinda go though them one by one, i really didnt even think twice that it was the in the michigan moped mafia forum.
but yeah, back to topic....
the lady is wrong, mopeds in michigan dont have titles. hence what kenny said, a bill of sale is all your ever need. but do add 49cc. I also put 25mph top speed on there, just so they dont ask.
Head in there and try again.

So for clarity, all I need on the Bill of Sale is the date, the seller's name, my name, the date, the VIN number, motor size, top speed and how much I paid for it. The crappy thing is this guy was super far away, and the top speed, motor size stuff wasn't on there in the first place. She mentioned I couldn't register it without a registration number.

im not sure what you have for a bill of sale, if its an official one or what.
but i have just took a piece of paper, scribble down all the into, signed it, had someone else sign it, ( not the real seller).
if you get the same person say you looked up how everything works in michigan, that you respect them, but they are wrong.
