Polini
47mm 65cc - $160 - $200 daywotor any polini dealer (part #119.0034)
Malossi
47mm (70cc?) - $159.99 Malossiusa/Rosel Import
Ruima
43mm 58cc - unknown price, Ruima dealer
RIK
43mm 58cc - Auction price ~$75 sold through vendor and member tazland001
Airsal

Please let me know if there are more choices or if any information needs to be updated.

Re: AF05E Big Bore List - Aero and 88-93 elite Engines
Greetings:
Good 411. Stock bore = 41mm. 40mm bore is '83-'84 NB50M Aero only.
The Malossi "70cc" is not. Malossi or Polini, 47m calculates to 65cc with stock stroke. Can't fit a bore bigger than 47mm + oversize (0.5mm) because the stud spacing would leave insufficient wall thickness. 65-66cc is the biggest you can get.

You don't come around here often, do you? gears have been found, and dio gears have been made to work before. Wheelman-111 has gotten 55mph out of an AF05.maddog wrote:without a gear ratio which they don't make= give it up
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

Greetings:
Correction: Best GPS on Flash II was 58.7 on a so-so run. It'd do 60 with the wind at my back, I'm convinced. It also survived sustained periods of WOT. The AF05 gears are Primaries, Malossi Part Number
67-6458. They produce a 7.83:1 ratio. 9:1 would have been better all around.

Found another! who knew Airsal made a bore for the vision...
Looking at the long list, it is almost silly when folks say that there are no upgrade options.
Link to Airsal kit in first post.

Re: AF05E Big Bore List - Aero and 88-93 elite Engines
So where does the SE50 fit in all this? Is it compatible with Aero/88-93 Elite cylinder, variator and gears? Or is it an orphan all alone? Don't have one but occasionally read something on it.

SE50s Never Walk Alone
Greetings:
Based on my own (JDM) SE50 and many posts here, an '87 SE50 owner can fit anything that fits late Aeros and early Elites. There were some intake manifold changes in '88 but the block was unchanged through '93.
I have Stickied this thread. All contributors should be thanked by future SE/05 owners. Please edit your posts to include links to these alleged kits.

Found a Polini kit 70cc for a Vision $136.93 https://scooter-center.com/scoweb/pages ... egory2=CAT
It's official! I'm addicted
Re: AF05E Big Bore List - Aero and 88-93 elite Engines
That's a good eye, but this is actually the same 47mm polini kit mentioned above mislabeled as 70cc. The price is pretty good - you might get killed on shipping and import taxes. I have seen prices as low as $155 to your door stateside.jk171282jk wrote:Found a Polini kit 70cc for a Vision $136.93 https://scooter-center.com/scoweb/pages ... egory2=CAT

Flash I's Polini Contesta
Greetings:
This is a very good quality kit with all the parts except a cylinder head. It even comes with a main jet that works with stock pipe and airbox, suitable for drilling bigger if you change those out. It is indeed a 65cc kit by my cackle-ashuns. You can match the case ports or leave it alone and bolt on. It'll run almost 50 MPH but you have to do something about the stock gearing. Mine came from DayWot, but I've purchased a few items from Scooter-Center.com. They are fast shippers and usually get it right. Look to pay $30-$40 for the TransAt shipping.

yeah $28 dollars and change for shipping. Just looked at it momentarily and didn't even notice the head was gone. Think the original head would fit?

AF05E Polini Kit
Greetings:
Sorry that was confusing. Absolutely the Contesta kit is designed to re-use your stock head. In my case a channel was cut into it for use of a Corsa-type viton O-Ring. This makes head removal possible without sourcing spare head gaskets, and raises compression ratio for higher output. Premium fuel recommended.
