Ooops with my KYMCO 150i

Post by Bear45-70 »

It seems if you don't ever check the oil that you will eventually blow up your motor just like I did. The motor let go about 5 miles from my house and I had to wait for my step son to get off work and then come and get me, then the scooter. We haven't touched it yet due to health issues between me and my step son. He almost died from his and mine have been years in coming. At least he found me a 2005 Yamaha 125 Vino scooter to ride while I wait on the KYMCO's rebuild.

I count 14 scooters in your signature Bear.
Do any of them run ?
Just wondering why you need a big Vino to ride with so many bikes already on hand.

Oh yeah several of them run, the Spree is a runner and the 1983 Aero 80 is a runner and the 2005 Yamaha 125 Vino (which isn't listed) runs almost everyday. The KYMCO also isn't listed which I should fix, but probably won't. Oh and a 1984 Aero 125 runs but not great, so I almost never ride it.

Which model is that Kymco ?
People ? Never owned one, but rode them a few times.
I've never ridden a Super 8 or 9 though.

That would be the screamer Like 150i which with the windshield on it will do over 66 MPH on a flat road.

I respect everything you have contributed to the Spree. My findings and documented readings are 52mph tops speed on the AF05E dyno tested but not proven in real world because of preservation priorities in my personal (THEY ARE MY SON'S) Spree's and dyno testing.. Please read: viewtopic.php?t=33591
