the magic ball tells me that it must be a horizontal (good) engined scoot.
they can also look on the engine case and tell you what engine designation and you can look it it up bout like i can...
hint- Spree like Riva Jazz is a slow scooter.
then again the seller could be... how do i put it delicately...

think i researched its either 88 or 89, on another forum it said vertical. just curious if there were any yamaha guys here that might know. but thanks mookie

yes, a 1988-1991 Yamaha 'Riva Jog' cg50. has the verticle engine.

i have 2 jogs an 86 yellow and 88 pearl both vertical
but the engines differ somewhat. for sure they have different intakes.
the 88 2JA having the larger reed cage and larger cylinder intake opening.

can't recall the desigination for the 86 off hand but you at least want the 2JA- Patrick/Daywot sells a big bore kit with head for the 2JA also.
and i can convert(or did) a Proma pipe to fit though i am told there is one from Daywot,(Proma) that bolts straight on.
