Just got this today at a nearby garage sale.

I cleaned the carb and changed the air filter, it starts right up now. :thumbwink:

You have to hold the left brake to make the kick start lever catch.

I have one of those!! mine doesnt have the leg shield. thats cool. tops out at about 25-27 mph. 6V system parts are hard to find. and are expensive. check mine out.

Priced well, considering the condition and accessories. I haven't seen a windshield for an FA50 for a while and I can't ever remember seeing the foot shield.

you know they are a dog at 27 mph but i wonder if there is a single speed dirt bike type motor and trans i could suff under there and make it a bit faster.

id say if it dont sell, hide it at a buddies place and do the swap, let me know what you find so i can do it also. i dont know of any single speed twist n go dirt bike motors. do you? its got to have a dual mount right as the fa50 has a clamp style mount. or could ya put in a single swing arm type.

Old ATC motors just have to shift. No Clutch Would be a scrreamer!

Have you tried to make the fa50 faster on is own? This pipe seems pretty cool.

The guy gives it a five taco rating! FIVE TACOS MAN that is serious stuff :thumbwink:

i have gotten it to 30 but was really really lean. and dint have the stock air box but a thin wash cloth taped to the intake. wit hall the stock parts i get 26/27 maybe 28 if i had a really long run. just doesnt want to get anywhere fast you know what i mean.

mine goes 25-27mph
the same speed as my met.

When the wife and I want to do a vintage cruise we pull these two scooters out.
