Geely 50QT-21

Post by JiminJax »

Fuel valve is leaking..... Engine JLIPE40QMB - Have an input line, output, and vent... Vent line has a short hose on it with a screw (just a regular metal screw) and a clamp on the screw - like they are trying to shut-off the vent... but that's where the gas is leaking. There's also a vaccume tube on the fuel value - on the inside of the valve (toward the inside of the engine). Valve is separate from the engine.

The fuel valves I've seen for the two-stroke - do not have a vent valve on them... would that work as a replacement?

This model has a separate oil tank - that holds the 2-stroke engine oil.

Right now I'm getting about 20 mpg on a 49cc engine... so I believe most of it is leaking out from that "vent" hose on the valve.

Having a hard time finding replacements parts. www.Partsforchinesescooters.com seems to be the only place but I'm not sure that fuel valve will work for this model.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...

welll....... chinese scooters are sort of known to have fuel (and electrical) problems... so i see why that response would be given

is the fuel valve connected to the gas tank? i'm kind of lost with your description. a picture would be nice.

Here's a picture of the valve.... I verified that gas is exiting the vent... which explains why I'm getting 20 miles to the gallon... and lots of gas on the ground

qdfkfjy4hxh has some sound advice there. I would do exactly what he said and in that order.
