Linhai PowerMax 50 2T

So I have this 01 PowerMax 50, has the minarelli style clone engine. Needless to say this IS the FASTEST bike to date I have owned in the 50cc class.

All stock to my knowledge and does 42mph(according to the radar box in town reminding me speed limit is 45, it tells your speed as you pass it).

Any free mods I can do to this besides drilling the exhaust? I've done so already and after only one baffle knocked out it makes a considerable amount of noise.

Do these engines perform better on the stock bore with a larger carburetor and maybe an exhaust pipe? The carburetor on this thing completely sucks and is missing the bystarter, has a plate with an O ring where it goes. It makes it eat gas like a tank and run filthy rich when warm.

Any ideas?

If it is a minarelli clone, I would run an expansion chamber exhaust and a variator. IMO, a larger carb is an unwise way to spend money unless you change the stock bore.

So you think this will do well with an aftermarket pipe? Any suggestions that won't bust my wallet?

Leo Vince ZX is a good bang for your buck peakish pipe. The TT is a broader pipe. Or you can go Taiwanese.

if you dont put a big bore on it dont waste your time just go with a variator and maybe gears p.s. all drilling the exhaust does is make the seat o pants meter read faster lol

Why is a performance exhaust wasting time? What gears do you recommend?

Also, I don't know anything about the powermax brand, have you tested to see if it is a limited cdi?

no i havent tested nothing i rode a true minerllie last night that thing jumps up and goes has lots of torque and gets to the top end pretty quick.... before you start a battle on this what are you trying to do with the scoot go 5 10 mph more or as fast as possible?

This thing actually had a rev limiter box, I unplugged and tossed it. With the box on it only did 30 and bounced off the limiter at WOT. Now it tapped 44MPH on RADAR today(one of those things on the side of the road which reads your speed back to you as you pass to tell you are speeding).

Yeah. No joke. To my knowledge it is completely stock. I keep having some carb issues so I'm swapping that out before the snow hits. The one on it is complete s***.

I will say one thing about this motor... It does not even come close in comparison to the real thing, I took DW's Razz with the Vino swap for a ride and the power was just... amazing. And it's all stock. Whoops my scoot off the line and across the finish. Sucks, but oh well.

The vino is stronger than the jog or zuma, it has better porting. What size tire is on your scooter?

It WAS a 3.50-10, but it blew out on my way home tonight. I guess 60psi was a bit much.

I have another rim to swap on but I have no clue what size tire is on it.
