99 razz help

hey fellas,

had a razz brought to the shop today, he said it took about ten minutes to start. it just cranks over and over then revs up slowly and starts up. this only happens after plugging air intake end to flood carb. when i took it out on a test drive it went about ten feet then made a bang and stopped running. it now wont even start. the carb is at factory settings and cleaned. new plug, new fuel folter. any ideas???
