2008 jog engines?

Post by niftyman »

Im looking at buying one with a blown motor they said the main bearings are stuffed. Now i know these are horizontal motors unlike the vertical honda motors my question is are rebuilding these the same princable as the honda as ive built a few of these but never even touched one of these.
Parts are easy to get and i dont mind doing it

Yes, similar principles to the Honda engine.

Greetings:

Aside from its cylinder being bowed down to the Opressive Yamaha/Minarelli dictators, a position favored in Communist countries... there's probably not much difference in basic architecture. Pop off the head and cylinder, split the cases, all should follow similar procedures to the much-more-wholesome Upright design specified by early Honda-san and the gods.

I suppose you could always...
Dude! Swap in a Dio!!
but Yamaha's (or Minarelli's, actually...) design is reputed to be faster mod-for-mod than the vertical Honda.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.
