Yamaha Jog 50 Compatibility question '86 Vs '01

Anyone know if an OEM basket on a '86 Jog will fit on the '01 Jog?
Both have the 3 bolts (triangle) but the front panel/styling is different.

(I did check the service manuals and they do not show the distance between the screws)
Or if you know of another way to figure this out (I only have the '01 model), I would greatly appreciate your advice.
