Big Bore Kit Jet Size- Gy6 Chinese Dio Looking body

Post by deuce217 »

My brother in law bought what looked to be a dio clone. But the Motor is a horizontal gy6 type. Any way he put a 72cc kit on her with a v-8 pipe and a intake w/ 28mm oko. The carb came with a 133 main and 42 idle. I have worked down to a 110 and up to a 58 now. The idle is ok, but the bike still wants less main jet. I run a 130-133 in my af16 with 50mm BBk and do not understand why his would not a similar size. We need to order smaller jets I guess but what sizes do these usually like? I am guessing around a 100 main or so. Thanks for the help.

Yeah we are seeing that. The 28mm carb is way too big we found out. I told him to get a 21mm in the beginning, he bought 28 and now is ordering a 21.. I got it running with a 19mm pretty good, but its no Af16!

Its a 2-stroke kit. I may be wrong about the gy6. Its perhaps the Jog.. Its hard to tell as I am not familiar with anything other than sprees and recently the elite 50 SR. They china scooters all look the same to me, cheap. Especially this one.

For sure its a horizontal style 2-stroke.

Not sure on the brand, nothing I have heard of though. The belt did say yamaha on it. A 90 main jet seems to work pretty good on it with a 19mm carb. The rollers are shorter and narrower than my elites.

I will try to get some later, it is not at my house. Thanks for the help. He is pretty down, he was hoping this thing would be like my elite, and it feels more like my old spree.

Which means it should be running way harder than a af16
