MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
Okay... So I was riding yesterday... and the bike started making a grinding noise.. so we got home and it literally had NO oil in the resovoir for the gearing.. The guy before me had used a screw instead of the drain nut.. It all leaked out... So we put more in the bike but I think it might be too late. Any ideas on what I could do? the gear sounds like it could be missing teeth on it because it grabs and then slips..

Re: MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
Put some Lucas oil additive in there with the oil, it makes the oil cling in on the gears and may help, if its not all burnt up in there.

Like I can rotate the bell housing and move the wheel then I get to the "spot" and it has a LOT of play and the wheel doesn't move until I move the wheel some. and the wheel looked as if it had a loose bearing

I'm not good at terms lmao. Lets say the "gear oil tank" haha. Behind the clutch assy. I'm not a moped guru lol. That's why I come to you guys.

Re: MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
Greetings:
You won't know until you pull that cover off and have a look. I would advise you don't try to ride it again until you do. If that assembly jams, the wheel locks up and you go down. Gears and bearings probably all need replacement - then find the right drain plug. And refill with oil to manufacturer's specs...

Re: MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
Alright. Luckily for me, all of these breakdowns have been in a 1 mile radius of my house. Lol. I'm glad you guys are here to help. Once I get home I'll tear it apart and look at it. I'll post pics of it if I can. Thanks again.

Re: MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
One more question btw.. How much would a new set of gears cost and how hard are they to change out? I'm thinking on having the Metal fab. guy at my dads work make me some new gears. But again... How hard are they to change out?

Re: MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
Well, I finally got around to tearing the bike apart, took it to a tire shop roughly a mile and a half up the road from me so I could get an impact wrench for the clutch, There's this small circular piece inside the gear "housing" that is shattered in 3 pieces, and when I pulled my gear out, little pieces of bearings went EVERYWHERE, and theres a chip in my main gear, I'll post a couple pics when I get home tonight, and to add on to that, my brake shoes were COVERED in gear oil I don't know how that happened, but I'm guessing that had ALOT to do with the back brakes not working properly Anyways, how can I get some new gears, bearings, and whatever else I need to get this thing moving again? I'm kinda on a budget, so I can't go high in pricing, but what size bearing(s) will I need and how much will the bearing(s) and gear(s) run me up to?
Thanks,
Austin

You need to use a service like photo bucket or imageshack to post pics properly. Unless you you use tapatalk on a mobile device.

Re: MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
more then likely broke off some teeth and will need to clean out the case, im assuming not every gear is going to be broken- get some high heat rtv or order a new gear gasket and open that baby up- there is no magic tool or thing to do without opening it up and checking the teeth
Re: MORE VENTO PROBLEMS...
The big gear is missing one tooth, and a bearing is destroyed and this metal ring piece, is shattered into 3 pieces.
