Clicking noise coming from engine

I just recently installed a polini contessa in my dd50 and it started making a clicking noise from the engine area. Has anyone come across this problem before?

Yeah bummers! Got around 200+ miles on the bore then clicking started. Just trying to find out if it could be the rings or something really serious. Runs great except for the clicking.

remove the head and look for damage

I took the head and cylinder off and everything looks good. Piston looks to be in really good shape too.

do a compression test it should tell if it in good shape..

That is the next thing I was planning to do. I'll also put in a new wrist pin bearing just to see if that helps. Thanks for the reply!
