You know, I just can't stay away from this forum. Which is the reason i'm posting about a GY6 build on here! A buddy of mine has a 2010 Chinese brand scoot, Same body style as a Tao-Tao. without any emblems. Haha. The only mods are an aftermarket pipe and a aftermarket air filter. (I know it needs an up-jet) lol. It's made it over 1000 miles with the minor upgrades and we both feel it's ready to take it's next step into manhood. Haha. We've got roughly 200 bucks to spend and here's what we've came up with so far.
- An 80cc bbk (Works with stock head) Also comes with 10g rollers $54.29
- Performance CDI with a performance coil $21.90
- 105 idle up-jet with 32 main (doesn't sound right but going for it anyways) $17.00
- Performance variator with 8g rollers (Gettig replaced by the 10g rollers) $39.99
- Performance clutch with 2k springs $43.00
I'm not sure if we should try to get a new belt or not. If we do, definitely going with a Gates Powerlink or a Bando belt.
Here's a few pics. The first one is how it is now. The others are from back when he first got it and I had my 88 Jog.
I'm back guys!

You should measure your current displacement. Those 50s are not always 49.# cc from the factory.

Well, we went from ordering an 80cc bbk to a 100cc bbk with 8g rollers, this and the up-jet is all we have ordered so far, pics to follow when the stuff arrives!
