Hi guys
just after some advice I've got around to pluging up the power jet on my oko 24. I have a malossi cast iron cylinder in my dd50. Currently runing a 45 slow and 82 main. What would be the best jet size to change to I was thinking 40 slow 114 main as a starting point any advice or previous experience with this carb please share. Cheers

You haven't established why you think ANY change is needed. If it idles well with the air screw turned out anywhere between 1 and 2 turns from lightly seated, takes throttle well, and the temperature doesn't jump up suddenly when you close the throttle (You DO have a temp gauge, right?) your current pilot should be in the ballpark. The PJ shouldn't affect the low-rev/small throttle operation much if any.

With that settled, observe the temperature when you go to full throttle with a 114. If it starts a steady climb, go bigger. If it peaks below 375, you can drop a size. There are too many variables between builds - compression, muffler setup, manifolds, reed action to name just a few - for anyone to predict what will work on your specific setup.

I havent actually even ran the bike yet on the current set up I know a 82 main will be way to small now I blocked the power jet. Im just after a starting point for the main. Im at the mines this week will do final tune on the weekend.

If it were mine I would start at 120, knowing it'll be too big, but not how much too big. Drop to the 118 and so on. Until temps at WOT approach 380.

Cheers wheelman 120 sounds good. Cant wait to get it tuned up correctly. I dont rate the power jet at all.

24mm is a pretty good call for the Iron cylinder. When and if the OKO leaks or you just get tired of it, consider hitting up Graphite for one of the Polini iterations. 21 or 24 should be good. The carbs look the same, but sure don't act the same. Polini magic.

Cheers for the advice the oko is coming up on 2 years old so dont think it will last much longer.

jet need to go 48/140

When my OKO24 leaked I just switched to a float bowl from a 21 (26, or 28mm will do too) OKO that DOESNT have the power jet opening and all has been well. That stoooopid power jet will start leaking.
