Toying with the idea of a 90cc long case mina swap. Anyone had any experience with the Eton 90cc engines?

Slightly different than yours, I just acquired a 90cc mina clone short case, its the same mounting as the long case. Long case would help keep wheelies under control. I hear it varies, but mine came stock with 8:1 final drive gearing. Also the ability to do a Big EVO build w/o having to cut a case is nice.

How do you tell the difference between to GOOD and BAD long chinese clones?
Are there some names to hop on and others to run from?

Its whatever you can get your hands on honestly, you can always get a Chinese motor and put OEM Yamaha and Polaris parts on it and make it just as reliable as any other OEM Yammie or Polaris. The preferred method of doing a 90cc swap is to use a 90cc minarelli shortcase that came in some youth ATVs such as Polaris Sportsman90, Predator90, and Scrambler90. You can also bore out a set of regular minarelli 49cc cases to accept a larger 50-54mm bore cylinder, and use a stroker crank to get you to 90cc. Basically OEM Yamaha and Polaris parts will always be the highest in quality, but never run from a 90cc minarelli no matter what it is chinese or not.

What did you decide. Did you find a decent set of cases?

We had a local rider here that bought a yamati strada or something like that, and he dropped a 103cc ruima kit in it. He melted pistons on a regular basis. Probably not the cases fault though.

I'm building him a case ported/flowed and matched ported polini corsa with polini stuffer crank zuma engine. Say that three times fast and one breath.

Pipewise I'm going to start donating plasma so I can buy me a c16.
Carbwise I'm scooping up 1m8s' dellorto racing 19 milli.
Got my frame in the mail today, front disc on the way.

Front disc is going to be needed. 13/44 polini primary gears is going to be fast.
