Hey guys I have a quick question that I asked on a different forum and my buddy Mr. Mers told me maybe G9 would know about this. So my question is this. I have an 89 Zuma engine (vert) on my Jog and I want to buy some a/m gears to get me to a higher speed, but all the gears I see are listed for a 98-01 vertical zuma, will these gears fit on my 89 Zuma engine? I'm looking to buy some gears as soon as possible. If anyone has any insight or knowledge on this please help me out. Thanks a lot everyone.

you wont be happy on the vertical prebug motor set up. go put back jog minarelli motor in your cy50. jog horizontal has gear kit 7:1,7.6,7.8,8.1,8.4 and 9.1.
minarelli jog make more hp and torque!

The cy50 still has the original horizontal. Its the CG50 im talking about. The Cg50 had a vert just like the zuma but the cvt was different and no a/m gears exist for the vert jog. So I opted to use the vert from the zuma on my vert jog because it has way more options for a/m parts. But, I was just wondering if gears listed for a 96-01 prebug will fit an 89 prebug..

none that i could find. I just want to know if a/m gears listed for a 96-01 prebg will fit on an 1989 prebug. One site lists thier prebug parts as 89-01 but most sites list them as 96-01. So will a/m gears for a 96-01 prebug zuma fit my 1989 prebug zuma engine?
