Although I am not familiar with that bike(it might have an aftermarket but I doubt it). If you are asking questions this general, I cant really say you are qualified for the kind of work that probably needs to be done(porting is a fine art). Unless there happens to be a 12 volt stator that fits it you are SOL for a 12 volt conversion. Whats wrong with the 6 volt system?
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

Hi,
There are various reasons to go 12v. I have an old 6v scooter where I was considering a DC/DC converter just to run a 12v headlight. 6v headlights were about $50. Could be you want to run a GPS etc (dc/dc up converter would cover that), but like Kenny says, to convert to 12v charging system is difficult unless the stator coil is changed. Perhaps there's some Suzuki part from another bike your could use?

Check out www.mopedarmy.com too, they have more users with 'nopeds' like the Suzuki FA50. Might cover your performance improvements too.
