Jogging
Greetings:
If one showed up for sale in Deepinnaharta, I'd snap it up quick. Never owned one, but several Forum denizens extol its virtues: Horizontal Minarelli engine is reputed to be faster than Honda's AF series, and mod-for-mod it gets quicker still. Lots of Aftermarket options - maybe more than for Honda. It's about the size of the SA50 Elites, judging from pics, but later-model Yamahas tend to be heavier than Hondas, one possible downside to me.
I suggest you Google Yamaha Jog and see if you can find specs.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Jogs are arguably the fastest (small bore) scooter. Stock - it is the fastest 50cc scooter produced.
Parts are cheap and easy to find!

Great to hear I bought it for $350 from a young kid looking for cash, it runs great and also looks great too.

Re: Yamaha Jog
Wrong, the Aprilia sr50 is faster but the jog was only 2/3 the price tag (I've had both).DaylightDies wrote:Stock - it is the fastest 50cc scooter produced.
True of the newer ones, although a Zuma weighs as much as a Ruckus but they both had a claimed dry weight of 137# for '97 and the jog carries its weight lower so it doesn't feel as heavy.Wheelman-111 wrote:but later-model Yamahas tend to be heavier than Hondas, one possible downside to me.

Hello all,
I have a qustion, can I put a tach/rpm gauge on my 1998 Yamaha Jog? I think it would be kind of neat.

Re: Yamaha Jog
Depends on the tach. Most cheap tachs just wrap a wire around the spark plug wire.IowaHondaSpree wrote:I found a cheap little round one for around $20. Now my qustion is how would hook this thing up?

Check out this find:

I don't really have the cash, else I'd be all over that.
