Read the can. You are using way to much. They recommend 2 ounces per gallon of fuel.Eft37 wrote:How much Seafoam are you guys running? I do 2-3 capfuls in in with every tank of gas.
2 oz is per gallon. If you have a Spree that would work out to about double the recommended dosage because of the .66 gallon tank.Eft37 wrote:2-3 capfulls can't be more than 2 ounces, will measure it out later.
Thanks for the kind words guys. When I bought it, the previous owner did say that the pipe was cloged up pretty bad due to the fact that the owner before him was using lawn mower 2-stroke oil and that was causing alot of build up in the pipe. He said he had cleaned it all up (did not mention how) and it ran much better. I've put three quarts of GN2 in it since owning it. Perhaps I need to go further with cleaning it out? Maybe I should try a little Seafoam and go from there.ALOW1 wrote:
Dude, have you ever had the jug off of it to check for carbon build up in the exhaust port? Another consideration is that your pipe has a lot of carbon build up in it?
Maybe it is time to have yourself a little bonfire.
Are you mechanically inclined at all? Even if your not we can still walk you through this.
Curious here, what kind of top speed are you getting out of your Spree?
Tastes great too!!.....Sorry just chaught on to this thread.burnt_toast wrote:seafoam is great stuffBear45-70 wrote: And that's why I use Seafoam with every tank full.
Bear,he said "cap" full not "cup" full...haha..ha...OK back to reality.Isn't it about 2-3 cap full per oz.Wait.....hold on.......just went outside and did a quick measurement.3 oz out of a measuring cup=18 cap full(cap from a 16 oz Seafoam). So 3oz / 18 =.1666 oz. So 6 caps = 1 oz.So 6 -12 caps per gallon.Geez I need to put a lot more in.I've been doing the 1-2 caps too(saw that some place here on the forum). It just dawned on me your reasoning, all that 2 stroke oil (read carbon build up/deposits). Bear thanks for telling us how much is really needed.CarpBear45-70 wrote:Read the can. You are using way to much.
