I bought a beautiful 86 honda spree about three weeks ago, rode the thing around all weekend. Then I left it sitting for 3 weeks and on accident left the knob on "run" instead of "off" and now I can't kick start it. It has fresh gas and plenty of oil, any thoughts on why it's not turning over? It sounds like it wants too but doesn't make that wonderful spree sounds we know and love!
Thanks!

Okay I got it to start, but I had to get it rolling and kick start it? I'm thinking about doing a compression test and changing the spark plug for good habit.

Interesting. Well she's running great now not sure what was the problem.
Re: 86 Honda Spree Won't Start
The stop/run switch is for emergency stopping, use the key to shut it off or you could end up with a dead battery from the key being left on.naveen93 wrote:I bought a beautiful 86 honda spree about three weeks ago, rode the thing around all weekend.
