Thanks Tyler VR for sharing (and making this incredible build thread)! I thoroughly enjoyed perusing/reading it and love the detailed work that you've done.

Thanks for comments guys, it's been a lot of work but it's also fun to be creative.
Yeah I've road it, just taking it east while breaking it in. Exhausts for the ch80 always have issues, I'm about to do a new muffler.lacedgod wrote:so you ride it yet? i just got mine back on the road and broke a stud so my exhaust is just hanging

Re: Spree Engine Swap: Honda Elite CH80 onto Spree
Thanks guys, I had the briggs and stratton muffler before and it was too loud. It popped a lot on deceleration, might as well been an open straight pipe. The fmf is a bit more restricted in comparison, but should be respectful enough for the streets. I did test ride it and the top speed performance is about the same, still need to try larger main jets. The low end performance did reduce a little compared to the wide open briggs, but I guess that was kinda expected. If I was comparing it over a stock ch80 muffler the gains would be huge with a fmf.

Greetings:
Four-strokers popping on deceleration means you're a tad lean on the jetting. I recommend you fix that soon.

Re: Spree Engine Swap: Honda Elite CH80 onto Spree
I didn't run my rebuilt ch80 much with the briggs sausage muffler, they're too unrestricted. After installing the fmf there's no more popping.Wheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:
