With winter upon us here in Michigan the building season is in full swing! Today I decided was a good day to get rolling on the MHR build. I'm working a lot at a new job so I won't have a lot of time to spend building but the snow won't be gone anytime soon so I have time. So I have pretty much all my parts minus a couple odds and ends I'll be starting off with a virgin case to be ported and bearinged (if that's a word) and here's my parts list.
Malossi MHR 72cc bbk (broke in and ready to go by the Wheelman himself!)
Malossi full counter crank
25mm Dellorto carb
Malossi intake with vl9 reed block (still need to purchase)
Polini for ruckus variator
Malossi for zx belt
Zx rear pully
Stage 6 fully ajustable clutch
Stage 6 bell
8.44 gears
Scorpion pipe
And fresh gaskets and bearings all around.
Ready to get started!! Here's my before pic can wait to compare the pile of parts to a fully built motor!

Thanks I think so as well! And I plan on using the malossi manifold that usualy comes in the kit with the 25mm Dellorto. Not sure of its name but there prolly arnt many malossi makes. That with the vl9 reed cage I think I haven't really come across any other reed blocks that I think would pair well with that manifold.

That's what I figured LMH and I'm looking for more of a town ripper anyway prolly tune it for some killer bottom end max I need to go ever is 60 and that's not even necessary. 0-45 will be my main speeds. Should be fun I've been collecting parts for this build for awhile now. I'm really excited to test out the stage 6 clutch.

Little update on the MHR build for my aero. All the intake proving is done and half the boost port(other half is about to be started on). So far so good. Once I cut the second have I'll be giving the cases a good thorough cleaning and should have the bearings and crank installed today most likely the top end as well. My oil seals are suposed to be here tomorrow so once I have those I will fully assemble it and test compression before I mount her up to the aero.
Intake porting.
Also shaved my cases for the ZX trans. And Polini for ruckus
Side 2.
Almost ready for the malossi SKF bearings and full counter crank!
Waiting patiently in the freezer with the chicken incase they get hungry fo more then just RPMs!!!

Well I finished up the boost port and slapped in the bearings and crank everything went super smooth. She's ready for the MHR and oil seals prolly tomorrow I wanna let everything cure over night. But she spins like butta and has me itchin to finish!
Lining her up.
Finished boost port
Bearing time!
Installed:)
Crank side one slid in like nothing!
Side 2 went on easy but never and silky as side one since everything has warmed up/cooled down but still nice and easy. I always throw the tusk puller on the starter side just to make sure it's seated then I install the case bolts.
And the finished product!

Well assembly continued today got my package from G9 that had my oil seals so I started there.
The piston and cir clips!
Copper coated my gasket last night to let it cure up.
Then the cylinder lubed her up with some oil and she slid on nice and easy
Then the head with a fresh o ring
Then on to the manifold which was loaned to me to test. Thanks 1M1S!
And on to the Dellorto 25mm
And this we'll be where she sits tell Wednesday morning!
I still have to pick up my stretched mount from my welder hopefully do that tomorrow and I can mount the motor to the aero and really get this party started!!

Great work! Don't forget some kind of retainer for the oil pump plug and a Woodruff key. (Cheapest part Honda sells...)
