Dio you tube videos

Post by johnny248 »

Is DIOspeeddemon a member of this site? I've forced myself to watch a couple of his videos on YouTube. It's pretty difficult. The guy might be the nicest guy in the world , and I don't want to sound like a *, but this guy is a moron. It's so difficult to watch any of these videos.

Here are a couple of quotes. (These may not be word for word, but they are pretty d*** close)

"The radiator has this intake here, and then it has the outtake here"

What?

"The reason I do it this way is for many reasons"

Again, what?

"A guy built a 70cc bike with a 19mm carb, ct intake , and a racing pipe. It's bogging down anything over half throttle. The first thing you need to do is cap off or disable the oil pump. With the bigger piston you need to premix the fuel. I use this ratiorite to mix it at about 50:1. That is 50 parts oil to 1 part gasoline"

Smh....

I can't watch anymore. I am sorry. Sorry if I am being mean, but these videos are just really bad.

I've watch many of his videos, I must say it's very interesting information. But those videos sure added to the fuel that got me started. Not on anyone's side but watching from the sidelines lolz

According to the computer models, this is the way to go. Make sure you have the larger fuel lines though.

You know though, this guy does actually make me laugh sometimes. He has so many crazy things. I really like his " barium trinium marker specially made for titanium". I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure the correct word is "tritium" , and I don't know why you need one to draw all over your engine parts, but it's all good :)

The problem I have with these videos are they don't get to the exact point. Gotta watch like two or three videos to understand one thing. He built a water cooled bike also. Is he a member? I wonder if he still has that scooter?? Speed Demon where are you sir!! Lolz

He was videos of his Elite up there in the last month, so I'm guessing he still has it. But yeah, the video usually doesn't have much do to with the title, and they never really get anywhere.

Not that I want to get involved here but just for reference he installed my plug as I was at his shop for other work. Near 20 hours on it no issues with the plug been telling myself that I should put something on there for precautions but haven't.

I just made a small aluminum plate that attached to the original oil pump bolt. I then stuck a washer/spacer between the plug and that plate to have some preload pushing down on the plug. There are pictures and stuff on my winter build thread.

My brother saw this guy on YouTube awhile back, we saw the vid about the double carb setup. Hey, that does look like a clean setup haha. He even uses larger fuel line since he's twice as many carbs. Btw, I would think the small one should be in between the motor and second carb, making a venturi effect(jk). I'm personally amazed he got it to run with what is essentially twice as much fuel.
