Re: What sized roller weights ?
if its getting warm on top speed why did you change the pilot and not the main? Just wondering
Re: What sized roller weights ?
I don't know anything about that pipe, but I will say that it is pretty. I like they way it looks. Very clean, and at least from the picture it appears to have good finish work. Does it look that nice in person? Would love to see some pictures of your setup.50ccrace wrote: i lowered my main jet, and my temps seemed to stopped being so low, but now that ive tightened up my jetting, down low its seems to of gotten warm again on top speed, so i upped my pilot jet. i have some needles for trying too. its a phbg dellorto carb.
As far as jetting, I'm a little confused. I think that you said it was running too cool at lower speeds so you lowered the MJ to bring the temps up, but now it is getting hotter and higher speeds. What temps were you seeing at what throttle positions? What was your original jetting settings, and what did you change them to?
Your Pilot jet is is going to affect performance and mixture off throttle. Your Main is is going to affect about 3/4 to WOT, and your needle setup is going to change the area in between for the most part. The midrange and acceleration up to 3/4 throttle is going to be affected.
So, if it is getting too hot at WOT, increase the MJ a little. If your mid throttle cruizing is getting too hot, try lowering the needle clip (if a DelOroto has them) , and if it is too rich or lean off idle, increase or decrease the pilot slightly.
Good luck! Please continue to share!

Re: What sized roller weights ?
I'd let the rollers be your close on those. I'd say if your temps are staying low and your lacking power at wide open then I would down jet the main jet and see what happens. I'll suggest again do one adjustment at a time. Sounds like everything is close so don't go changing a bunch of things at once that's when you can get lost(been there)
From my personal exp. I've found trial and error is great tool here. I change something run it write down what it's doing so when I change something else I can go back and compare. After a while you will know when something is just try right. I travel everywhere with the tools and jets I need to take my trans variator muffler wheel just about anything on my bike off if I need to that way in a pinch if I want change something I can.

Understanding you is difficult.
I THINK you are expecting too much from your second half of throttle...

Re: What sized roller weights ?
It's not that difficult to tune if the parts are relatively comparable in their intended range of performance. You have a 50cc cylinder and run a 21mm carburetor on it. That exhaust pipe's range is for a motor of 72cc's to 90cc's. The "other 28mm pipe" you mentioned is only 24.3mm's and will probably be your best choice for 50cc's. Motormike is right, you are expecting too much for just slapping parts on a motor and not reading up on what works and what does not. Besides, the person posting the questions sounds familiar, and it could be that you have once again stumped the panel, but not me. I have no more "suggestions" to give at this time.......
