Kymco Agility 50 derestriction

Post by motormike »

Wondering if Kymco Agility 50 has a washer in the variator that can be removed ?
Are there any other items that are intended to restrict this bikes' top speed ?
Starting the research now, just picked it up last night...6k miles...2010 model.
tia...mm... :urban:

Hi Mike,
that washer can be flat down or replace it with unrestricted one, Kymco 50cc restrictions depend on models, years, States. Generally, most restriction items are: washer boss(most), CDI(not all), muffler(most). The best way to find out what yours is to call Kymco with your scooter VIN#, they will tell you about. My People 50 S 4T had only washer and muffler need to be unrestricted, so i did replace that washer and leave muffler alone, i got 5-7mph extra with that, max out 35-40 mph flat ground. Nice looking bike Mike!

Sometimes the carbs have a flange rubber like neck in it that keeps air and fule flow low at high vacumme. You just pop it out and up jet and gain 3-5 mph

Agility have a cdi restriction and variator ring. I doubt at 6k it still has the variator restriction but probably has the cdi restriction. You have to cut the cdi with a hack saw blade perfectly. Kymco forums has a sticky on it I bet. They are dc cdis so you have to remember that if you order an after market one.
Kevin you have a people 50 4t? I've yet to see one but we get the agility and super 8 50 4t in pretty often. At least you have the bigger rims to help with top speed.

I dont even know why the goverment bothers with restricting these scooters... everone just unrestricts them anyway. Also I found out that some have a small washer in the pipe that restricts it too. Also since its at 6k miles check valve clearence it may be running ok but those 4ts are little sneaky boogers.
