The side panel didn't really fit well after the intake and carb upgrade. I was planning on bulging the panel out with a heat gun but there was already a crack so it wasn't doable. I just cut it out around the carb and put some edge trim on, at least I can reach the choke easily.

The other side panel has the storage trunk that I cut the back side out and sunk it in, but then my new shocks had to be spaced out so I ended up just cutting square out for clearance. Also trimmed the bottom edge of the panel because the exhaust header was touching it.

I'm using the storage area for a spare battery for my stereo system.

Trying out 2 different type of air filters, not sure which is best but I've always used foam filters in the past..

This build turned out very well, congrats!

I recently acquired another Aero 50 with low compressing and had a similar swap idea, as I have a spare Aero 125 chassis and motor sitting in storage, I need something to keep up better with my partner's Aero 125 :thumbwink: .

How do you like the performance? I had an Aero 50 with a big bore on it before, I'm hoping that something of this displacement should be very... spirited.

My idea for an engine mount and wiring are a little different from yours, I'm also considering running just one shock like the original motor to keep more of the glove box, the shock mount on the 125 motor looks strong enough to support the weight on one side.

I'll be interested to see what you think once I get started (and start a thread).

Cheers!

Thanks man, I still have plans to improve the look of my aero. But it's came along way since I bought it last fall when it looked like this:

Thanks, I like the performance of my nh125 and after adding a few parts it gets even better. Swapping a lot bigger engine on a smaller frame brings a lot of challenges, I wish you luck.

Made a mount for my gps, it's a piece of sheet metal I bent and drilled a hole to mount off the side mirror.
