Wandering through Japan

Post by PolarIce »

  • hello all, it’s been several years since I’ve posted but I figured you guys would get a kick out of this graveyard of parts I happened across while visiting a more rural part of western Tokyo. I see some gyro UP models in there as well. Anyway I hope all of you are doing well and best of luck in the New year!

Thanks Mike. Doing well. Spent the last 3 years in Australia (wife's work) and now we're doing a bit of traveling after the kids got off to college. I think I'll take more scooter pics when I get time...

Greetings:

Dude, that's in Japan?! I thought the whole country was always neat and tidy, like a Zen garden. Thet-thar is the opposite of that. My bubble is burst with a resounding POP!

that sneaky little eve smile hiding in the bottom left of the second image
I own a Honda Eve and a Honda Nifty Fifty.
The Eve has a wiring harness, coils, throttle control and a starter motor from a nifty, since relying on kickstart isn't fun.

Just finished a 5 week trip through Japan. I seem to be fascinated with the Gyro Series to the point of obsession. Here’s a bit of what I saw while walking around.

Thanks for sharing....
The one vehicle that will never be sold is my Gyro S.
I plan to give it to someone when the right time comes.
I <3 that Ruckus being left as a fully suspended, proper street machine.
And that Bobby sure brought a smile.
I had the U.S. model known as "Champ". 80cc 2T fun-cycle.
Tell me Chief...where is it you have dropped anchor ?

Man, I would have never guessed the first two pics were from Japan. Aren't people super neat over there?

I went to Tokyo back in 2016 and I was really amazed of all the compact vehicles there.
