Graphite9 is back :)
Wow its been a long time! So some of you guys will remember me some won't. I own scooterswapshop in portland oregon, and hondaspree was a HUGE part of my growth in the beginning. I want to personally thank ALL the admins and guys who keep this thing alive. I started selling parts on here SEVERAL years back, then started a website, I have since quit my union job and opened a shop with 2 employees, and we're having a blast. Just wanted to see whats going on here, and say HUGE thanks to the guys that allowed me to start on this page. Its cool to see alot of the guys I used to deal with years back Carry on and ride safe!
Re: Graphite9 is back :)
Congratulations on making it all work Brandon.
Your contributions to this page, and the scooter kingdom at large, are to be commended.
When early efforts resulted in difficulty, you made it right, sucked it up, and did yourself proud.
I am very pleased to know this endeavor has moved forward.
Welcome back to your supporting family here, as you have been missed. motor...

Welcome back Brandon!
Re: Graphite9 is back :)
thanks a million motormike! I moved 3x and hauled my inventory with me. Since my last time here, Ive since ha two kiddos aswell so alot has changed. I worked a full 8-10 hour job, came home and did the online thing will 1-3am. for about 3 years. TONS of work. You'll be happy to hear myself and my tech both have gyros again right now were fitting dome top pistons, and modifying the domes, an cutting o rings into the heads. SHould be a pretty good gain while retaining reliability. Port timing on the gyro cyl is terrible!motormike wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 8:57 am Congratulations on making it all work Brandon.

3SPDX,
In the past few years, it seems like there are fewer and fewer spree and elite guys around, as these scooters get older and more are lost forever. I'd be interested in what you see as the scooter trends in your business. Are the new buyers going with Honda Metropolitans and Ruckeses, or are they buying Taiwanese (Genuine, SYM (Lance?), Kymco), or are they buying the $600-$700 Chinese scooters the shops here are selling under various brand names, or something else? In other words, what brands of scooters are your new customers buying, and what is the average age of new buyers?
