The Leo Vince SP3 has been discontinued.

But I have a few of them.

Shoot me a PM if you want one. Works great with stock Cylinder as well as the Malossi BBK

I'm new to the forum but this is exactly what I need to do. Have an 87 SE50P, and I understand what I need to do, but I still need help with one thing: where can I get these parts? I'm having trouble finding a good source for the variator and the exhaust. Is there a good source for these two parts anyone can direct me to?

The short answer is no...
but the parts you need are offered here occasionally.
I have managed to acquire the ramp plate from one member,
and today an un-restricted pipe arrived, purchased from another member.
I will go to my Honda dealer to buy an #85 main jet.
G'luck with your searches... :urban:

Not sure if your still looking for a cheap way to mod the unrestricted stock muffler, but I've got a way. If you look at it from the rear, there's an outlet on the bottom right of the flange in the middle. If you drill a 1/2 to 3/4 inch hole on the middle left, it'll bypass the second chamber of the muffler turning it into a high flow expansion chamber (sort of) sounds like a harley haha

Are you asking what the restrictions are on an exhaust from 2001 motor or an 87’? Pictures of what exhaust you have would help.
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

Bringing this up from the dead as well. I installed the Technigas pipe on my 87’ Elite SE50P today, couple issues.

1). New mounts in the back push the pipe out about an inch, bought longer stainless bolts, and stainless sleeves and fill the “void”between the pipe and mounting positions so it would bolt down flush and not torque the pipe.

2). Moving the pipe outboard does not allow you to get the the kickstand on the pipe side of the bike.

3). Kickstand now hits the muffler, I’ll add a stop / bushing on it later.

Motor is 100% stock, during this I added the pipe (way larger diameter) and 84 main jet. Speed jumped from between 29/30 to almost exactly 35 on level ground. I’m 6’3” 225-230 depending on dinner . Every has said the Technigas isn’t a hi-po pipe, but the difference in mid-range and high rpm was huge, not bad for $100. Pulls hard until 31/32 and slowly pulls to 35, on even a slight downhill quite a bit more.

Next up variator, hoping to see low-mid 40’s. Since I got more out of the pipe than expected, should be easy. Using the Keli speed pulley and race variator (Aero 50).

Updates to follow.

FYI, as noted in this thread there is NO washer to grind out on the stock exhaust. You need a new aftermarket pipe, or an Aero pipe.

AND...the Technigas is hardly louder than stock if you have neighbors like me.

Hello everyone, I met someone here in France who has the same 1986 Aero 50/Vision as mine. AF05E engine.
He'd like to de-restrict too as I did changing the plate.
Would someone happen to have another OEM one from a non restricted version and willing to sell it overseas?

Must depend on which market it was sold.

Just buy the Kelli Variator and Plate, it's $41 on ebay. Looks like the seller will not ship outside the USA, so I would contact him ahead of buying. He's been super helpful for me.

Is the seller in Hawai'i? My brother lives there.
But with the shipping fees and taxes...that will be expensive.

Moreover we have legal issues here with these performance parts as they're not Honda parts so in case of an (important = body injuries) accident, insurance experts have a close eye on performance parts on mopeds and the like.
But those experts won't spot an unrestricted Honda ramp plate from a restricted Honda one...these scoots are too old and scarce here now for the knowledge to still be up to date.
You have to play low profil and sleeper mode...

It is meant for a UK market version.

If you get a aero exhaust, up jet and aftermarket vari as outlined in this thread. It should be capable of 40.
