Project Tempest UNVEILED Act1 (Drag Spree build)

Post by burnt_toast »

As promised, today I have completed the first part of a major custom project named Tempest. This is Act 1, the first part of her journey :coolcruise:

Goal time was reached and built in 2months span.
Fully assembled over-night from frame on up, last night and this morning. Yup that means custom everything was figured out in this short time span. :nervous:

It wasn't easy by a long shot, but totally worth the challenge. And I have a few dedications:

Thank God for giving me the strength to persevere, guiding me and always looking over
Thanks to Projectcar Magazine for giving me the inspiration to do a full on custom build!
Thanks to Robbie at RLM for the custom weld job, came out amazing!
Thanks to Don's Autobody for the paint job, in and out in one day, great work
Thanks to my parents for dealing with a garage shop full of scooters
Thanks to everyone at the Motorcycle Shop for their help and expertise
Thanks to Hawaii friends for advice on drag racing, useful info that will come in handy
Thanks to those who I bought parts from and those who bought my spree spares
Lastly, thanks to all the haters who think they know all, and yet know nothing. This project really goes out to yall :thumbwink:

Holy sh** im impressed... Toast, you totally motivated me to build a drag racer. :2thumbs:

Great job on the video, as well - i can't wait to see a video showing you riding it doing a speed run. The 10 hour night was worth it, and ya got it done within your deadline. -i have had those "build" nights too... fun stuff indeed.

Again, great job w' your project man. 'She turned out beautiful.

YES, Inspiring. I just don't have the heart to do that to my Spree but it does give me some thoughts for my junkbasket AF16E.

Teaser Toast Post

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

I caught a brief glimpse of those Tasty Tempest Pics on my BB, but something about my Office confuser prevents them from displaying, even when I right-click. Oh, cruel Toast!

Any chance you could upload them using Noisy's groovy new "Attachments" function?

so how fast is this dragster estimated to go in the 1/4 mile, or are you actually gonna run it?

you better believe it!

but as wheelz mentioned, need to complete to next phase before seeing track time. It's literally unrideable now because seating is awkward and power is just sick haha awesome to feel though

estimated times are under wraps but you can guess if you'd like :naughty:

stay tuned folks :urban:

Nice build. :thumbwink :2thumbs: Thanks for the video and walk through of the goodies and features. Been waiting to see what you'd do to a Spree since last winter when your tarp birthed a {different} Spree... Gee, 60lb lighter - Less is more!!

Looks good! Are you doing any bodywork on it? A cafe seat would a good job covering the tank and integrating the light:
