Hello, i live in cyprus where we have plenty of dio scooters and this is my second dio I've owned its an af18 and I've decided to document my build this time and let you guys give me advice on everything.

Parts On the way for the project
(From Scooterattack since im in the EU)
Cylinder kit: Polini Corsa
Exhaust: Scr Corse Handmade for minarelli vertical
Clutch: Motoforce clutch bell and adjustable clutch+ Polini torque spring +15%
Belt: Malossi kevlar drive belt
(Aliexpress)
Carburetor: Chinese Pwk 24mm with ebay manifold
Gears: 16x42 (9:1)
Koso RPM Gauge and a koso temp gauge
I also ordered some really nice rims from aliexpress along with a 200mm rpm brake kit im gonna fit on the af18. Im going with a (stage6) Black with orange accents for this build, it's going to get painted the following week hopefully.

My previous dio (the AF28)
Had a polini contessa with a stage6 clutch and a 21mm phgb carburetor with stock gearing i could do ≈85kmh but it would push the motor to the limits and i also ran a very weird exhaust on it that i have no idea what brand it was, the rpm gauge i had on it used to peak around 10500 RPM but it was kind of overevving.

Got shipped the wrong carb got a 34mm instead of a 24mm, ordered a 24mm from a reputable seller near cyprus.

Dont know how much gas is in the tank rn so i probably just put way too much 2t in is it gonna be okay?

If it doesnt like your oil mix, it will let you know pretty quick. Too much oil will either be fine, run like crap or not run at all. Its the “not enough oil” that will break stuff. Lol

Be sure to hondabond the heck out of the oil plug before you shove it in. They have o-rings but somehow still leak sometimes.

Hmm i ordered some loctite quick gasket as hondabond isn't really available in cyprus. The plug fit perfectly i think but when everything finally arrives I'll probably do it

Got the brake kit in the mail yesterday and put it on the rims, looks pretty cool. But it seems that i need a new spacer

Also should the intake on the case be ported for the corsa? This is a jdm af18 dio

Porting isnt necessary to make it rip. The Corsa is amazing for bolt-on and go as is. If you were going to do any porting you’d need to crack open the cases and remove the crank while you do it. Then do the boost port and some other small internal bits while youre in there. Its not worth the effort for complete tear down unless youre doing a crank swap already. If you go that far, port the Corsa itself while youre at it.

Okay thanks, i won't be swapping the crank anytime soon i don't think, the scooter only has 4k km on it.
When it eventually gives though I'm thinking about an athena crank

Is this sound normal? It sounds like scratching, but im pretty sure i lubed up everything, my dad says its the excess oil making that sound. Thanks
