By motor number how can I tell I have an AR-15 or AR-16?

I currently have a pretty wicked modded spree. I have acquired an extra frame and pretty much everything else that's laying around for parts. I would like to put an AR-15 or AR-16 elite motor on this but I don't know how to tell if it is this motor type by the motor number. I'm more of a moped guy Newer to scooters. I would normally do the research but I got the guy on Craigslist right now I'm kind of looking for an answer ASAP

af16 and the af18 is the dio motor that had loads of aftermarket any of the af05 motors are a waste if your looking to make speed and have many options af16 and 18 are the way to go.

Many members here have motor already built or ones for really cheap if the dude on craigslist dost know let it go and stop by the for sale section.

Which is better? Af05? Or the af16 for mods? Or which is the fastest?

The AF16 is better for mods and goes faster. The AF05 is the stock engine, and your limited to a BBK and taller gears unless you wanna hack the tranny with belt swaps and front end mods, which I wouldn't recommend or do, then you have the AF05E Variated version which has a 4 bolt intake and CVT. I'm doing the AF05E variated swap into my 2nd Spree. Finding zoom zoom parts for it is proving just a slight bit more challenging then finding AF16 parts, but then it's hard to even find an AF16 at a decent price.

you can get a stock af16 for like 250-350 with pipe wheel, airbox everything needed to run a stock motor or you can get case for cheap. if your intrested in prices just post up a feeler wtb in the for sale and see what people offer you.
