I've bought 3 aero 125 scooters so far, passed up a few too. I'm always searching craigslist everyday waiting for good deals.kjkenney wrote:This is awesome. I'm dying to find a 125 locally and you found one for $100..grumblegrumble... very cool, excited to see how it turns out!

People think they're sitting on gold out here. Saw a complete, but very unloved, 125 a while back but dude wanted 800 and was missing title..I'm happy with my 50 for now, but I'm itching to add a bigger size to the scooter familyTyler VR wrote:I've bought 3 aero 125 scooters so far, passed up a few too. Wow, looks pretty good...I just might have a new favorite degreaser! Im sure there was soaking and scrubbing involved? Where did you get it and how much was that big jug of it?
I sometimes use engine brite...Just spray it on..wait..and hose it off
Its toxic as heII but very effective.

I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

Yeah a couple rounds of scrubbing. This stuff will damage paint and irritate skin so be careful, but you can dilute it with water to lower the strength. You can buy it at most auto parts stores and walmart, less than $10 a gallon.Meatball wrote:Wow, looks pretty good...I just might have a new favorite degreaser! Interested to see how the motor mount fab goes. Looks like neither mount will work without getting creative on either the motor or frame connection. Almost like you need to cut the longer front tube off the 125 mount and weld it to the narrower arms of the Aero mount. Keeping the final motor location centered on the frame tube will be tricky but doable. Am I close or do you have a trick up your sleeve?

Re: Honda Aero nb50 to nh125 Swap Project
I'm leaning towards using parts of the nh125 mount, just the tubes the bolts goes through. Then make my own metal piece between the tubes, getting the angle I want will probably be challenging. The mount location on the nh125 is in a tight spot, between the starter and oil pump which might limit the mounting angle.

Wow, that's looking amazing. Custom fab work like a boss!

Thanks guys, I put a couple hours into making that mount so hopefully it works out.

Dont forget a bump stop, im not sure why they are there but I know they keep the wheel from going too far down. Maybe to keep it from folding under.

^^yup you need that little foot that goes in the frame for some reason. Nice mount man, you should make some extra, just in case you can sell one. Looks so strong haha, I like it.
